New Energy Equity seeks a Market & Policy Manager to drive market evaluation, regulatory strategy, and policy advocacy nationwide. You will analyze state community solar frameworks, review regulatory dockets, assess project economics, and collaborate with Development, Legal, and Finance to translate policy developments into actionable business strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public policy, economics, business, political science, environmental studies, engineering, energy, or a related field.
• Experience analyzing state energy policy and regulatory frameworks including legislation and utility programs.
• Strong financial and analytical skills with Excel-based modeling.
• Direct experience with community solar or distributed generation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate solar markets nationwide to identify policy/regulatory developments and priorities.
• Develop deep knowledge of state community solar markets, including tariffs, incentives, and interconnection requirements.
• Track regulatory dockets, legislation, stakeholder groups, and utility proceedings to identify risks and opportunities.
• Synthesize policy and market information into clear summaries and actionable recommendations.
