Into The Margins seeks a skilled Podcast Editor to turn founder interviews into clean, engaging episodes. You will own editing from raw recordings to final delivery, balancing storytelling with authenticity and pacing.

The role is a remote contract with a weekly publishing schedule. Strong editing, noise reduction, and multi-speaker handling are essential for consistent, high-quality output.

Qualifications

• Experience editing podcasts, interviews, documentaries, or similar spoken-word content.
• Strong dialogue editing and noise-reduction skills.
• Experience working with multiple speakers.
• Understanding of EQ, compression, limiting, and loudness.
• Attention to detail and file/project organization.
• Ability to work independently and meet weekly deadlines.
• Remote interviews experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Edit long-form founder interviews and podcast episodes.
• Review and organize multi-track recordings.
• Remove mistakes, pauses, false starts, and unnecessary sections.
• Clean up background noise and unwanted sounds.
• Improve vocal clarity and consistency.
• Edit remote interviews with varying audio quality.
• Add introductions, transitions, music, and production elements.
• Mix and master episodes for consistent listening.
• Export and deliver finished episodes in required formats.
• Keep project files and assets organized.
• Communicate clearly about revisions.
