Job summary

Huntress is a remote-first cybersecurity company seeking a Director of Engineering - Platform to elevate our product platform and empower multiple engineering teams. You will lead teams building scalable foundations for our security products, and mentor engineering managers across a remote organization.

The role requires 10+ years in engineering leadership for SaaS, 5+ years at director level, and hands-on AI tooling experience (Claude Code or similar).

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in engineering leadership building SaaS products.
• 5+ years of experience at the director level or higher.
• Hands-on experience with Claude Code or similar AI development tools.
• Experience and knowledge of scalable delivery, site reliability engineering, and developer experience.
• Experience in fully remote environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performant, scalable products iteratively balancing value and evolution.
• Drive the technical roadmap and best practices for the product platform.
• Attract, recruit, and retain top engineering talent.
• Hire and coach engineering managers to build great teams.
• Set clear expectations and provide regular feedback to leaders.
• Measure engineering performance and adjust teams/processes for throughput.
• Identify opportunities to improve product and engineering practices.
• Partner with architecture, product, and threat operations to align needs.
• Collaborate with architecture, product management, and threat operations teams.
