Job summary

Render is seeking an engineer to architect and deliver core platform capabilities that empower millions of developers, balancing the power of hyperscalers with the simplicity expected from a developer-first platform.

You will own end-to-end implementation, collaborate across teams, and shape on-call practices while building integrations with modern tooling. You will work with Go, TypeScript, React, Kubernetes, Postgres, Terraform, and Temporal to power AI-native and full-stack applications.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of production software experience.
• Experience at a high-growth startup with broad scope and impact.
• Experience collaborating with product and design to align priorities.
• Comfort wearing multiple hats and working across the full stack.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver core platform features that reduce developer toil.
• Collaborate with design, product, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Evolve the codebase to handle increasing product complexity and scale.
• Participate in planning and roadmapping to align engineering efforts with business outcomes.
• Contribute to team culture, engineering practices, and operational standards as the organization grows.
• Own on-call responsibilities to ensure platform reliability and rapid incident response.
• Build integrations that connect Render with modern tooling for build and deploy processes.
• Analyze user needs to drive product-driven growth for enterprise audiences.
