Job summary

UnitedHealthcare's Plan Pharmacy Director in Washington leads the strategic direction and operational execution of the pharmacy program for the state plan. You will manage PDL implementation, analytics, reporting, and relationships with state Medicaid partners and internal stakeholders to optimize outcomes and affordability.

Based in Washington with remote flexibility, this role requires pharmacy leadership, policy development, and collaboration across clinical, financial, and regulatory

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Clinical Pharmacy, Sales, or Account Management experience.
• 3+ years of Managed Care Pharmacy experience in a Health Plan or PBM.
• 1+ years of direct Medicaid/Medicare plan experience.
• Experience presenting to groups including senior management.
• Proficiency with Pharmacy Utilization Review and pharmacy trend.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Executes the pharmacy benefit and compliance with state contract, policies, and regulations.
• Develops, executes, and drives strategic plans and goals.
• Analyzes forecasting and trend information for planning.
• Provides strategic direction and financial impact analysis for pharmacy priorities.
• Builds relationships with internal and external partners; primary contact for Pharmacy.
• Assists plan on clinical program development and member satisfaction.
• Ensures state policies are created and maintained.
• Serves as SME for formulary, prior authorization, and benefit coding.
