Job summary

Trueline is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its South Carolina practice in a fully remote role. The attorney will manage property insurance matters from pre-suit through litigation, while maintaining client communications and courtroom-ready pleadings.

Ideal candidates have a J.D., active SC Bar, and roughly 2+ years of civil litigation with strong writing and deadline management. Remote work, with SC-based licensing preferred.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active South Carolina Bar license in good standing.
• Approximately 2+ years of substantive civil litigation experience.
• Hands-on experience with pleadings, discovery, motions, depositions, negotiations, or similar litigation work.

Responsibilities

• Manage first-party property insurance matters from pre-suit through litigation and resolution.
• Evaluate incoming claims and help determine case viability, strategy, and value.
• Communicate directly with clients throughout the life of each matter.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, demands, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and help develop case strategy.
• Take and defend depositions as experience allows.
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and settlement negotiations.
