Job summary

24-MAG LLC is seeking a part‑time, remote scientist specializing in computational pharmacokinetics and systems biology. You will design graduate‑level problems, build SBML‑based workflows, and craft simulation tasks in Python for authentic research‑level analyses.

The role emphasizes rigorous problem design, evaluation criteria, and reproducible workflows in Linux environments, with compensation at $60–$75/hour and 15–20 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Graduate-level expertise in pharmacokinetics, pharmacology, systems biology, computational biology, bioengineering, or closely related STEM field.
• MS, PhD, or equivalent research experience preferred.
• Proven proficiency with scientific software environments including libRoadRunner or Tellurium.

Responsibilities

• Design research-level problems involving compartmental pharmacokinetic and PK/PD models.
• Develop scenarios involving dosing, concentration-time behaviour, exposure, and response.
• Build computational workflows requiring multi-step simulation and quantitative interpretation.
• Create problems where correct solutions depend on model setup and scientific reasoning.
• Identify realistic edge cases and failure modes in PK simulations.
• Work with SBML-based frameworks to model pathways and dynamics.
• Write Python-based problem setups, reference calculations, and validators.
• Produce authoritative reference solutions and evaluation criteria.
