Job summary

North American Risk Services is seeking a PIP Claims Adjuster with an active New York Adjuster’s license. The role involves handling PIP/Medical Payment claims, investigating losses, coordinating care, managing litigation, and negotiating settlements from a home-based position.

Ideal candidates have litigation experience and a minimum of 3+ years in claims or completion of the NARS Claims Trainee program, with licensing flexibility for other jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, 2-year degree or higher preferred.
• Must have experience with litigation.
• 3+ years of prior claim adjusting experience or have successfully completed the NARS Claims Trainee program.
• Must possess an active New York Adjuster's license.
• Must possess, or have the ability to obtain, a Florida Adjuster's license or other required jurisdictional licensing.

Responsibilities

• Handle a caseload commensurate with complexity level of assigned PIP/Medical Payment claims.
• Investigate loss, determine coverage, coordinate medical care, manage litigation, assessing damages, negotiating settlements, identifying fraud, and utilizing authorized vendors.
• Ensure compliance with state statutes, client guidelines, and best practices.
• Attend conferences, client meetings, mentor other adjusters and support management as needed.
• Timely address claim metrics.
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned, which may include travel.
