Job summary

Kennametal Inc. is seeking a Manager of Product Information Management to lead its global PIM function and team. You will drive strategy, governance, quality, and distribution of product data across ecommerce, CAD/CAM, catalogs, and digital touchpoints.

You will partner with Engineering, Global Product Management, Sales, and Digital teams to enable a superior customer experience through high-quality content and scalable data models that support growth and digital transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Information Management, Digital Commerce, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Information Management, Product Marketing, Portfolio Management, Digital Commerce, or related function.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a global organization.
• Proven success managing complex business processes, programs, products, or platforms throughout their lifecycle.
• Experience leading and developing teams in a collaborative, matrixed environment.
• Strong understanding of how product information supports customer experience, digital commerce, sales enablement, and growth.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to influence and align across Engineering, Global Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and Digital teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
• Outstanding leadership, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Preferred: experience with PIM/MDM, Digital Commerce, eCommerce, or related data disciplines.
• Experience with enterprise PIM platforms like Stibo, SAP, Informatica, or similar solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own the creation and communication of the Product Information vision, goals, roadmap, and release plan.
• Build internal and external customer partnerships to analyze needs and develop product roadmap.
• Develop scope and backlog items (epics/features/user stories) for the scrum team.
• Refine and prioritize backlog items based on business objectives and coordinate with the development team.
• Serve as a key stakeholder in each scrum event (planning, refinement, review, sprint).
• Manage the team to ensure accurate product data across channels (web, CAD/CAM partners, distribution).
• Be ambassador for Digital Product Information and own ROI.
• Perform audits and reports measuring data quality and completeness.
• Identify gaps and define processes, guidance, and standards for data management.
• Define process, roles, and training to create a world-class PIM ecosystem at Kennametal.
• Research market, competitors, and best-in-class peers.
