What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Simulate pilot actions and communications in an air traffic controller training simulator
- Operate radar displays and voice communication systems during training exercises
- Respond to voice commands from students utilizing appropriate ATC terminology
- Complete required certifications for classroom and lab performance as a Remote Pilot Operator
- Collaborate with a team of multimedia developers and subject matter experts
What is Required (Qualifications)
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to read and interpret diagrams and manuals
- Clear and understandable verbal communication skills
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Experience in a multidisciplinary team setting is preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience and certification in ATC Tower, TRACON, or En Route simulation lab
- Working knowledge of FAAO JO 7110.65
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
- Familiarity with current technological tools (tablets, notebooks, applications)
- Basic experience with pilot/controller communications or phraseology
