Responsibilities

• Operate a simulated radar display and voice communication system to facilitate air traffic controller training
• Simulate pilot actions and communication during training exercises based on student commands
• Translate displayed information into appropriate air traffic control terminology
• Respond to students using proper phraseology via the voice communication system
• Complete required certifications, including classroom and lab testing on airspace and procedures

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
• Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to read and interpret materials such as diagrams and manuals
• Strong verbal communication skills to ensure clarity and understanding
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in ATC Tower, TRACON, or En Route simulation lab is highly desirable
• Familiarity with FAAO JO 7110.65 regulations
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of current technological tools (tablets, notebooks, applications)
• Experience with pilot/controller communications or phraseology
