Responsibilities
- Operate simulated radar displays and voice communication systems during air traffic control training exercises
- Simulate pilot actions and communication as per student instructions
- Translate displayed information into appropriate air traffic control terminology
- Respond to students using proper phraseology through the voice communication system
- Complete required certifications and pass relevant tests on airspace and procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to read and interpret technical materials
- Clear and understandable verbal communication skills
- U.S. Citizenship required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and certification in ATC Tower, TRACON, or En Route simulation lab
- Knowledge of FAA JO 7110.65 regulations
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
- Familiarity with pilot/controller communications or phraseology
- Experience working in a training or instructional environment
