Job summary

Peak Vascular Access is seeking a Vascular Access Nurse (PICC RN – PRN) to provide expert PICC line care with a focus on safety and quality. This remote, mobile role involves ultrasound-guided insertions, insertions, maintenance, and collaboration with healthcare teams across locations.

Candidates must have an active RN license in the U.S., 2+ years in vascular access or related fields, and proficiency in ultrasound-guided PICC techniques.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the U.S. (required).
• Minimum 2 years’ RN experience with vascular access or critical care.
• Proficient in ultrasound-guided PICC insertion.
• VA-BC certification desirable; BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound-guided PICC line, midline, and peripheral IV insertion, maintenance and removal.
• Ensure correct catheter placement following best practices and infection control.
• Assess and monitor vascular access sites to prevent complications.
• Administer IV therapies, medications, and fluids as prescribed.
• Monitor for adverse reactions during infusions and manage accordingly.
• Educate patients on PICC line care and infection prevention.
• Provide self-care instructions to ensure safety and compliance.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes per regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop individualized care plans.
