Job summary

Oscar Health's Oscar Medical Group is hiring a Physician for our Virtual Health Assessment team in a part-time capacity. The role provides virtual-based care to Oscar Health Insurance members using audio, video, and written communication.

The position reports to the Director, Virtual Health Assessment and requires MD/DO, board certification, and 3+ years of primary or urgent care experience, with 2+ years delivering virtual care.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical program.
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• 2+ years of delivering virtual care.
• 3+ years of primary/urgent care experience.
• Must be licensed in TN and FL or TX (full license).
• Spanish language fluency.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality care for patients in a virtual setting.
• Collaborate with Physicians and/or Advanced Practice Leads on the Care Team for complex patients.
• Follow up on labs, imaging, and closed loop communication with patients and other providers.
• Use remote monitoring tools and virtual exams to assess patients.
• Participate in a collaborative care model with nurses, medical assistants, PCPs, and other clinicians.
• Attend required meetings to support patient care and service lines (huddles, case conferencing).
• Provide feedback to support workflow and product improvements.
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
