Job summary

Christopher Place Healthcare Review (CPHCR) is seeking board-certified physicians to serve as Physician Reviewers for independent medical reviews, in a remote, flexible weekday schedule. This opportunity lets physicians contribute to healthcare quality with no nights, weekends, or on-call duties while maintaining existing clinical commitments and ensuring timely, evidence-based determinations.

Qualified applicants bring at least five years post-graduate experience, current licensure and board

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted medical license in the physician's state of practice.
• Current board certification in the physician's medical specialty.
• Minimum of five years of post-graduate clinical experience.
• Ability to provide independent and impartial clinical opinions.
• Ability to review complex medical documentation and communicate conclusions clearly in writing.
• Ability to meet established case turnaround times.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable regulatory and organizational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent, objective reviews of assigned medical cases within their area of specialty.
• Review relevant medical records, clinical documentation, treatment plans, and other case materials.
• Evaluate the clinical appropriateness and medical necessity of services.
• Apply current evidence-based medicine and accepted standards of care.
• Provide clear, concise, and clinically supported written determinations.
• Complete assigned reviews within turnaround times.
• Maintain impartiality and disclose conflicts of interest.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with privacy requirements.
• Maintain required licensure and clinical qualifications.
• Participate in required training and reviewer updates.
