Job summary

re-zoo-me seeks an Architect / Technical Lead to modernize and lead our SaaS platform. This hands-on role focuses on architecture, system design, and mentoring senior engineers across backend, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.

You will partner with Product and Engineering leadership to translate objectives into scalable technical solutions, establish standards, and guide security, reliability, and maintainability at scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
• 3–4+ years designing and architecting enterprise-scale apps.
• Strong hands-on with PHP 8.x and Symfony.
• Experience with Docker, Nginx, MongoDB, Linux, AWS, and modern backend tech.
• Knowledge of OOP, DDD, REST API design, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience leading architecture reviews and setting technical direction.
• DevOps, containerization, CI/CD, and cloud infra experience.
• Data architecture, data modeling, ETL patterns.
• Guidance across backend, APIs, integrations, and frontend technologies.
• Agile, TDD, iterative delivery; security/compliance focus.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the overall technical architecture for scalability and reliability.
• Translate business needs into architecture, design, and system blueprints.
• Lead architecture initiatives, PoCs, and technology evaluations.
• Provide direction to engineering teams on architecture and implementation.
• Set architectural standards, coding guidelines, and best practices.
• Drive data architecture, data modeling, and ETL strategies.
• Guide backend, APIs, frontend, integrations, cloud, and DevOps.
• Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD, observability, and deployments.
• Identify tech debt and performance issues; drive improvements.
• Ensure security, privacy, compliance, and reliability requirements.
• Lead reviews and mentor engineers in technical decision-making.
• Partner on technical roadmaps and strategy; evaluate AI/ML opportunities.
• Support technical hiring, onboarding, and growth.
