Qualifications

• PhD in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Graduate research or project experience in power electronics and power conversion.
• Strong understanding of power converter topologies and switching supplies.
• Knowledge of feedback control systems and control-loop design.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, LTspice or PSpice.
• Experience with embedded control systems, microcontrollers, DSPs or FPGAs.
• Ability to work in a lab with power electronics hardware and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support R&D of a new, advanced power converter solution.
• Develop and evaluate control architectures and algorithms for converters.
• Design, prototype, and test control hardware and circuitry.
• Develop embedded firmware and software for converter control and data acquisition.
• Model and simulate power converter topologies and control loops.
• Perform stability analysis and system optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout development.
