Job summary

Consonus Pharmacy, a closed-door long-term care pharmacy, is hiring a Pharmacy Nurse Consultant (LPN or RN). The role is remotely based with travel to facility sites to support nursing staff, ensure medication safety, and aid survey readiness across communities.

The ideal candidate has active LPN or RN licensure, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while coordinating multiple facilities. Marquis/Consonus values a compassionate team and diverse perspectives.

Qualifications

• Must be an LPN or RN in the appropriate state.
• Ability to travel.
• Nursing experience in a clinical setting required.
• Long-Term care, hospice, or rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple communities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medication system reviews and nursing process evaluations in long-term care and senior living communities
• Provide education and coaching to nursing staff on medication administration best practices
• Assist communities with controlled medication reconciliation and medication safety initiatives
• Support survey readiness and regulatory compliance
• Partner with consultant pharmacists to address medication-related concerns
• Serve as a clinical resource for medication administration processes and pharmacy workflows
• Identify opportunities for quality improvement in medication management
