Actalent is seeking a Pharmacy Technician - Fill Technician for a fully remote, contract-to-hire position. The role supports filling prescriptions, labeling, packaging, and pharmacist verification from a Lake Mary, FL base.

Compliance with HIPAA and state regulations is essential, with experience in pharmacy operations and strong accuracy a must. The candidate should hold an active state license, HS diploma or GED, and ideally a CPhT credential, with familiarity in pharmacy management systems

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred.
• Active Pharmacy Technician registration/licensure as required by state.
• Experience in pharmacy settings preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic computer proficiency and pharmacy system familiarity.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription medications accurately according to schedules and orders.
• Retrieve, count, measure, label, and package medications using dispensing systems.
• Prepare filled prescriptions for pharmacist review and verification.
• Maintain compliance with state, federal, HIPAA, and company regulations.
• Manage inventory, stocking, rotation, and expiry monitoring.
• Assist with receiving and organizing incoming shipments.
• Document dispensing activities and inventory transactions.
• Identify and escalate discrepancies or shortages to the pharmacist.
• Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Operate pharmacy automation equipment and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Support quality assurance procedures and adherence to procedures.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and technicians to fulfill medications on time.
