Job summary

The Ohio Department of Aging is seeking a Pharmacy Compliance Specialist to support Northeast Region operations. The role involves inspections of drug dispensing and manufacturing sites, enforcement of state and federal drug laws, and providing guidance to pharmacists and distributors.

Qualifications

  • License to practice pharmacy as pharmacist in Ohio per ORC 4729; 5 years' experience as a registered pharmacist with 3 years in tertiary hospital settings.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of drug dispensing/manufacturing establishments for compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Investigate violations of drug laws and regulations.
  • Assist in prosecution of violators.
  • Provide in-depth counseling to pharmacists and drug distributors to ensure compliance.
  • Assist other specialists, agents, and inspectors to expedite cases.
  • Provide drug information to pharmacists, distributors, and the public to promote awareness of drug laws.
