The State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy is seeking a Compliance Specialist to enforce drug laws and deliver expert guidance to pharmacists and distributors. This role focuses on inspections, investigations, and prosecutions within the Northeast Region, with required relocation to a qualifying county within 180 days.

The position includes a 16-week training in Columbus and field work, with a starting probation period of 365 days and a pay range set at step 1 unless otherwise required.

Formación

  • License to practice pharmacy as pharmacist as issued by State Board of Pharmacy pursuant to Sections 4729.01 to 4729.29, inclusive of Ohio Revised Code; 5 yrs. exp. as registered pharmacist including 3 years of tertiary-level based hospital (ER, OR, ICU, Lab, etc.) experience involving sterile drug compounding, complex automated drug delivery systems, electronic record keeping systems and use of positive identification, or has other comparable institutional facility or diversified specialty pharmacy experience; valid driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

  • Conducts inspections of diverse and specialized establishments where drugs are dispensed, manufactured, or sold for compliance with federal and state drug laws and regulations.
  • Investigates complaints of violations of drug laws and regulations.
  • Assists in prosecution of violators.
  • Provides in-depth counseling to pharmacists and drug distributors to facilitate compliance with state and federal drug laws and violations.
  • Assists other Specialists, Agents, and Inspectors to expedite cases; and
  • Provides drug information to pharmacists, distributors, and general public in order to promote awareness of drug abuse and laws.
