Job summary

PharMerica, part of BrightSpring Health Services, is seeking a Pharmacist Consultant for a remote, long-term care focused role covering Boston and surrounding MA territories. You will evaluate orders, monitor resident regimens, and collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure safe, effective medication therapy.

Candidates should hold a PharmD or equivalent, be licensed, and have LTC/home health experience; immunization certification required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required.
• Current pharmacy license is required; dual licensure preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to learn and navigate state and federal long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates physician medication orders for appropriateness, dosing, interactions, and administration.
• Monitors each resident's drug regimen monthly and reports findings to nursing and medical staff.
• Documents all communications with physicians, nurses, patients and families.
• Maintains knowledge of laws and regulations governing long-term care pharmacy.
• Collaborates with the care team to optimize therapy and ensure safety.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of formulary management in LTC settings.
