Job summary

Axyde Analytics is assembling a multidisciplinary expert team for US government-funded scoping projects focused on platinum-group metals and related supply chains. Remote within the United States, part-time/on-call specialists are sought to evaluate resources, processing and end-market applications across multiple PGM tracks.

Ideal candidates bring 7–10 years in PGM or related fields, strong English communication, and the ability to work across mining, smelting, refining and recycling

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of directly relevant PGM, precious-metal, catalyst, recycling, smelting or related experience.
• Degree in economic geology, mining/metallurgy or related field.
• Direct responsibility for PGM mines, concentrators, smelters, refineries or commercial supply chains.
• Ability to connect feed characterization, sampling, assay, recovery and metal accounting.
• Experience developing or reviewing test programs, mass balances, data, settlements.
• Strong written and verbal English-language communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally when required.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent-resident status; work authorization.
• No conflicts restricting participation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate PGM resource quality, quantity, mineralogy and confidence.
• Review mining, concentration, smelting and refining assumptions.
• Assess flotation recovery, concentrate quality and impurity control.
• Evaluate feed preparation, smelting, converting and base-metal-removal systems.
• Review precious-metal separation, purification and finished-product requirements.
• Assess catalyst collection, aggregation, sampling and preprocessing.
• Evaluate assay methods, representativeness, accountability and settlement procedures.
• Review pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical recycling routes.
• Develop or review mass balances and metal-accountability systems.
• Assess recovery, residence time, inventory, working capital and leasing needs.
• Evaluate technology maturity, operating references, testwork and scale-up evidence.
• Review emissions, hazardous residues, water and worker safety requirements.
• Identify information gaps and define required diligence.
• Evaluate power, utilities, logistics and infrastructure.
• Contribute to capital and operating-cost assumptions.
• Assess small-market dynamics, price volatility and supplier concentration.
• Evaluate feed contracts, pricing, offtake and financing arrangements.
• Identify opportunities for U.S. equipment, engineering, technology and services.
• Develop feasibility-study terms and budgets; support proposal compliance.
• Participate in sponsor, government, recycler, refiner, customer or lab discussions.
• Support international meetings, site visits and field verification as required.
• Prepare concise findings and recommendations for senior decision-makers.
• Serve as a discipline lead or independent reviewer where needed.
