Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of P&C or pet insurance analytics experience, pricing, product management, or underwriting.
• Proficient in insurance KPIs (loss ratio, retention, rate adequacy) and data interpretation.
• Proficiency with SQL, SAS, R, Python and data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience with insurance data sources (policy admin, claims, rating engines).
• Ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio Performance Analysis: analyze P&L, loss ratios, and rate adequacy to identify opportunities.
• Insurance KPI Reporting: develop dashboards for rate actions, retention, claims trends, and regulatory metrics.
• Product & Rating Expertise: serve as SME on pet insurance contracts, rating structures, and underwriting guidelines.
• Data Integrity & Analysis: work with multiple data sources to generate actionable insights.
• Ad Hoc Insurance Analysis: conduct deep-dives on loss spikes, regulatory changes, or leakage.
• Underwriting & Actuarial Collaboration: collaborate on rate indications and pricing changes.
• Product Monitoring & Compliance Support: monitor regulatory requirements and state variations.
