Qualifications

• Continually develop product knowledge through approved educational programs.

Responsibilities

• Learn various insurance coverages and contracts and apply them per underwriter training.
• Read, interpret, and react to policies, manuals, forms, and endorsements to understand their meaning.
• Assemble information, develop opinions, and clearly express decisions with sound reasoning.
• Analyze loss experience, financial conditions and risk characteristics.
• Acquire working knowledge of supporting sections of the underwriting department.
• Communicate effectively with independent agents and associates both verbally and in writing.
• Successfully complete the Company underwriter training program.
