Description :

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Personal Lines Sales team at Mercer . This remote role can be based anywhere in the United States.

The Inside Sales Representative role involves working with employees of large employers to promote and sell our personal lines insurance, including auto and home coverage, through an inside sales approach. While based in a contact center environment, the focus is on building relationships, understanding the customer's needs, and providing tailored solutions, supported by access to 16 carriers. This opportunity offers a competitive commission plan on top of base pay, rewarding your sales success.

We will count on you to :

  • Handle inbound calls to sell personal lines insurance products.
  • Present tailored solutions, address objections, and guide customers through purchasing appropriate coverage.
  • Assess eligibility and underwriting suitability.
  • Cross sell additional insurance products, identify new sales opportunities, and make outbound calls to close sales.
  • Document all call details accurately for reporting and follow-up.

What you need to have :

  • Relevant experience in sales or related fields.
  • Ability to motivate and influence customers toward products and solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective phone interactions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

  • 2+ years of insurance sales or related experience.
  • Current Property & Casualty or Personal Lines license.

    The applicable base pay for this role is $37,000.

    The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
