Job summary

Paramount Pictures in the United States is seeking a full-time personal finance writer for MoneyWatch: Managing Your Money. This remote-eligible role focuses on explainers, reviews and listicles to inform readers while driving revenue through affiliate links.

You will write quickly and accurately to CBS News standards, use data to guide story ideas, and optimize headlines for SEO, with collaboration across editors and partners.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of writing experience in business, personal finance or affiliate marketing.
• Ability to write clean, clear, accurate content on deadline to CBS News standards.
• Experience interpreting data to inform story ideas and performance.
• Experience with affiliate marketing and knowledge of the space.
• Understanding of sponsored content and affiliate links; ability to optimize for search.

Responsibilities

• Pitch and write explainers, reviews and best-of lists as well as quick-turnaround personal finance stories.
• Use data to inform MoneyWatch priorities and adjust content decisions.
• Optimize headlines and copy for SEO.
• Update and maintain a library of existing articles.
• Assist senior editor and managing editor with planning and calendar management.
• Participate in strategic discussions with partners.
