Job summary

Packetlabs is seeking an experienced security tester to perform comprehensive penetration testing of web and mobile apps, APIs, and backend services. You will review code, reverse engineer apps, and craft remediation-focused reports for stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in consulting, strong Burp Suite experience, and certifications like OSCP/OSWE/BSCP. This Florida-based role offers remote work options and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of penetration testing/consulting experience.
• Graduate of a college/university degree program.
• Certifications OSCP, OSWE, or BSCP preferred; OSCP or Burp mandatory.
• Must be located in Florida and eligible to work in the US.
• Experience with XML/JSON/SOAP/REST/AJAX and web services.

Responsibilities

• Perform penetration testing of web, mobile, thick client and API systems.
• Conduct source code reviews and whitebox testing to prove flaws.
• Reverse engineer mobile/thick client apps as needed.
• Chain flaws to verify impact and coordinate remediation with teams.
• Prepare detailed findings and executive-level debriefs.
• Carry out SAST and DAST on enterprise and SaaS apps.
• Utilize scanners and validate/ignore false positives; apply OWASP guidance.
