Job summary

A-LIGN is seeking a Penetration Tester in Tampa, FL to perform offensive security engagements across external networks, web applications, and APIs. You will identify, validate, and manually exploit vulnerabilities, evaluate attack paths, and document findings with remediation guidance for clients.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, MIS, CS, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Execute external network, web app, and API penetration testing engagements within defined scope.
• Identify, validate, and manually exploit vulnerabilities using various techniques.
• Evaluate attack paths and assess business and technical impact of identified vulnerabilities.
• Produce clear client reports with findings, risk, evidence, and remediation guidance.
• Communicate findings to clients and respond to questions or challenges.
• Execute projects with minimal supervision while maintaining quality and professionalism.
• Collaborate to improve testing tools, methodologies, and reporting standards.
• Share knowledge with junior staff and clients.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging vulnerabilities and attack techniques.
