Remote Design Engineer – PEMB / Metal Building Systems

A respected leader in the pre-engineered metal building industry is seeking a skilled Design Engineer. This role offers clear growth potential—the current Chief Engineer plans to transition out within 3–5 years, creating space for advancement in both title and compensation. What You’ll Do:
  • Design pre-engineered metal buildings with accuracy, safety, and compliance.
  • Use MBS and metal building systems to deliver efficient, cost-effective solutions.
  • Review and interpret architectural/structural drawings into practical designs.
  • Partner with detailing, fabrication, and erection teams for seamless execution.
  • Support project managers, clients, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Anticipate and resolve design or construction challenges early.
What You Bring:
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), ideally in multiple states.
  • Experience with MBS and PEMB projects.
  • Strong technical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
