Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Accountant to join the Finance Department in the Northeast New Jersey area. The role supports month-end close, payroll, benefits accounting, and intercompany invoicing in a hybrid work setting.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a finance or accounting BS, and experience with SAP, Excel, and Blackline, with the ability to improve processes and controls while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of general accounting activities and journal entry preparation.
• BS degree in finance or accounting preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP, MS Office Products, and Blackline.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close journal entries, including payroll, benefits accounting, deferred compensation, and EPP.
• Partner with the Payroll team to ensure accurate payroll processing and reporting.
• Prepare manual intercompany payroll invoices and review monthly payroll variance reports.
• Investigate and analyze variances, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Evaluate existing processes and propose improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.
