Job summary

Cotiviti Healthcare is seeking a Payment Accuracy Specialist 1 to join the Data Mining unit. The role focuses on auditing data to identify recoverable claims and ensure compliance with client contracts and industry regulations.

You will work in a remote US setting, leveraging RMS and Excel to analyze claims and support audit outcomes, with opportunities for growth in a fast-expanding team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred and healthcare experience is a plus.
• 2-3 years of Cotiviti experience recommended for internal opportunities.
• Healthcare industry experience, including Medicaid claims knowledge, is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Audit client data and generate high quality recoverable claims.
• Build and maintain knowledge of CMS and NAIC guidelines to establish liability.
• Use RMS and client systems to audit and review reports; analyze simple–medium reports.
• Identify overpayments/underpayments; discuss findings with audit team.
• Enter overpayments accurately and develop new reports/queries as needed.
• Ensure quality standards and hit rates; meet production goals.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and secure handling of data.
