Job summary

HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital is seeking a Virtual Patient Safety Attendant to monitor at-risk patients remotely from a designated station. You will observe patients for safety, communicate concerns to the care team in real time, and support efforts to protect patients and improve outcomes.

You will identify risks, document changes, and collaborate with the care team while upholding patient privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Watching patients with continuous focus to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Identifying risks such as falls or self-harm and promptly alerting the care team to intervene quickly.
• Documenting patient activity and changes with accuracy and clarity throughout your shift.
• Honoring patient privacy by safeguarding confidential information at all times.
• Collaborating closely with the healthcare team to foster a culture of compassion, respect, and teamwork.
