Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of healthcare setting experience preferred.
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls routed to the department.
• Analyze patient accounts and identify billing issues with insurance companies.
• Update patient demographic information in the Practice Management system.
• Collect and process payments on patient accounts.
• Respond to patient concerns in a courteous and timely manner.
• Adhere to HIPAA guidelines regarding confidentiality.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, patients and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
