Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking a Patent Agent who can work remotely from Arizona, California, New York, or Hawaii to support patent preparation and prosecution across electrical engineering, circuits, CS, networking, and semiconductors.

Ideal candidates have 1–3+ years of relevant experience, strong communication and writing skills, and a detail-oriented approach to managing patent-related matters for diverse clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field with strong technical background.
• Experience with patent preparation and patent prosecution in a law firm environment or IP setting.
• Experience with analog/digital circuits, RF, semiconductors, electromagnetism, optics or computer networking.

Responsibilities

• Analyze patents and other technical documents.
• Identify distinctions between inventions and earlier publications.
• Draft arguments and responses to Patent Office communications.
• Meet with inventors to discuss new inventions.
• Draft patent applications for new inventions.
• Interface with foreign law firms to obtain patents in other countries.
• Collaborate with in-house attorneys at client organizations.
