Job summary

ZippyApp - Recruitment Marketing is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Transcriptionist to join our remote team on a part-time basis. This entry-level role requires strong listening, typing, and proofreading skills, and training will be provided to learn our workflow and quality standards.

You will listen to audio and video content, produce accurate transcripts, review for grammar and formatting, and maintain organized digital files.

Qualifications

• Strong English listening, reading, spelling, and grammar skills.
• Good typing speed with a strong focus on accuracy.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to concentrate and work independently.
• Basic computer and internet skills.
• Comfortable using digital documents, word-processing software, and online platforms.
• Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote workspace.
• Previous transcription experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Listen to audio and video recordings and accurately convert spoken content into written text.
• Review and proofread transcripts for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting.
• Follow established transcription guidelines and formatting standards.
• Identify unclear or difficult-to-understand portions of recordings and flag them appropriately.
• Maintain accurate and organized digital files.
• Complete assigned transcription projects within established deadlines.
• Handle documents and recordings responsibly and maintain confidentiality.
• Communicate with team members when clarification or additional information is needed.
