Job summary

HelloCollege in Chicago is seeking a part-time College Counselor to guide a caseload of students and families through our college-planning program. You will ensure program completion and contribute to company growth through referrals, testimonials, and consultations.

The role reports to the Director of Counseling and requires strong communication, relationship-building, and knowledge of selective college admissions. Evening availability and some weekend support are expected.

Qualifications

• Part-time availability: 25–30 hours per week.
• Master’s degree or college counseling certification recommended.
• Experience with college counseling/admissions required.
• Experience helping students gain admission to Top 25/Top 50 universities required.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to connect with diverse families.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of up to 50 students per HelloCollege program.
• Guide students and families to complete the program goals and drive company growth.
• Lead up to four online workshops per month based on your expertise.
• Track all communications and milestones in the HelloCollege portal.
