Job summary

SEO Career is seeking mentors to support undergraduate participants in Edge, Success, and Hire tracks. You will mentor, conduct practice interviews in Software Engineering, Data Science, Quantitative Analytics, and related fields, and help interns prepare for internship offers.

Role requires a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in a related role within financial services, with weekends/evenings commitment and remote work. Opportunity to contribute to SEO’s coaching curriculum and events.

Qualifications

• Experience in coaching and development of students, peers, or professionals.
• Experience conducting or leading technical interviews for software engineering, data, quantitative, or trading roles (live coding, technical screens, and assessments).
• Data structures and algorithms.
• Object-oriented programming and scripting.
• Debugging, testing, and version control (Git/GitHub).
• Familiarity with technical interview formats (online assessments, brain teasers, behavioral and technical interviews).
• Available to work evenings and/or weekends, with professional conduct in scheduled meetings.

Responsibilities

• Support Edge, Success, and Hire tracks based on skillset and availability.
• Conduct practice interviews and provide feedback for internship opportunities in software engineering, data science, quantitative analytics, trading or related fields.
• Coach interns through pre-internship coursework and post-internship offer process.
• Conduct mock interviews to prepare candidates for paid internships.
• Document participant interactions regularly in SEO’s systems.
• Contribute to SEO’s training curriculum and host informational webinars.
