Job summary

ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION, Risk Management Division, is seeking a skilled Legal Assistant to perform paralegal functions, conduct investigative research, and prepare comprehensive reports. You will facilitate communications with state agencies, the Attorney General’s Office, and JLBC to support risk management and public interest objectives.

• Paralegal or related field degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong legal research and investigative skills required.
• Experience with risk management and insurance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist agencies with risk mitigation and JLBC compliance.
• Draft the State Risk Management Annual Report for JLBC submission.
• Prepare biweekly claims status reports for the Legal Department.
• Maintain detailed claim records and settlement documentation.
• Conduct legal research using statutory libraries and court databases.
• Coordinate with AG's Office, JLBC, and state agencies.
