Insight Global is seeking a Senior Palo Alto Security Engineer for a fully remote, 6-week contract. The role focuses on reviewing firewall configurations, hardening, remediation, and producing changes with minimal oversight while supporting enterprise security initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on Palo Alto experience, strong NAT/routing/policy knowledge, and exposure to Panorama. PCNSE certification and Zero Trust/segmentation experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Palo Alto firewall administration.
• Experience with firewall hardening and remediation.
• Strong knowledge of NAT, routing, security policies, and threat prevention.
• Ability to work independently with enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

• Review existing Palo Alto firewall configurations and identify security gaps.
• Perform firewall hardening and implement security best practices.
• Remediate firewall policy and configuration issues.
• Execute production firewall changes with minimal oversight.
• Improve overall network security posture across the environment.
• Collaborate with customer stakeholders and project leadership.
• Document assessments, recommendations, and completed work.

Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Senior Palo Alto Security Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise security initiative. This engineer will be responsible for reviewing Palo Alto firewall configurations, performing security remediation, implementing firewall hardening best practices, and improving overall security posture. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of Palo Alto experience, strong knowledge of NAT, routing, security policies, and threat prevention, and can work independently in a customer-facing environment. Exposure to Panorama, Zero Trust initiatives, and PCNSE certification are preferred. This is a fully remote, 6-week contract with potential for extension.

• 5+ years of hands-on Palo Alto Networks firewall administration
• Experience with firewall hardening, rule reviews, and security remediation
• Strong knowledge of firewall policies, NAT, routing, security profiles, and threat prevention
• Experience executing firewall changes in production environments
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers/stakeholders
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• PCNSE certification
• Palo Alto Panorama experience
• Zero Trust and/or network segmentation experience
