Job summary

Dane Street is seeking Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeons to join its panel as remote Physician Reviewers. You will conduct Utilization Reviews, determine medical necessity, and provide evidence-based determinations with no patient contact.

This independent contractor role offers flexible scheduling, a flat per-case rate, and the ability to work remotely from anywhere. Active NY license and WC certification are required.

Qualifications

• Board-certified orthopedic surgeon with active NY license and workers' comp certification.
• Active clinical practice concurrently with reviewer duties.
• Ability to review records and determine medical necessity.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records to determine medical necessity of services
• Utilize state-specific workers' compensation guidelines and criteria
• Submit clear, concise, well-supported determinations
• Complete reviews within 1–5 business days
• Participate in peer-to-peer calls as needed
• Complete addenda when new information is provided
