Job summary

Dallas Area Rapid Transit Inc is seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator to manage Oracle and SQL Server databases across Linux and Windows platforms. The role includes implementing backup and disaster recovery, optimizing data storage, and enhancing performance for enterprise applications.

Applicants should have 5+ years of experience in DB administration, strong knowledge of RAC, RMAN, and partitioning, and hold relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required.
• 5+ years Oracle and/or SQL Server DB admin in enterprise environments.
• Proficient with UNIX/Linux or Windows servers and databases.
• Experience with RAC, partitioning, and performance tuning.
• Must maintain certifications and be able to obtain new ones as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade Oracle and SQL Server on Linux/Windows.
• Design, implement, and manage backup and disaster recovery policies.
• Manage storage, security, and tuning for Oracle/SQL Server databases.
• Develop PL/SQL and T-SQL scripts; support data governance.
