Job summary

Danbury Hospital seeks a Telemetry Monitor Tech to oversee cardiac rhythm monitoring on the nursing unit, using remote central monitoring when needed. You will interpret rhythms, ensure correct lead placement, and promptly alert staff to changes in patient condition.

Requirements include HS Grad, BLS, and at least six months of related experience; acute care and dysrhythmia training are preferred. This role is on site in Danbury, with a salary range provided.

Qualifications

• HS Grad or equivalent.
• Maintain BLS competency.
• Minimum six months experience.
• Successful test score on cardiac rhythm interpretation.
• Acute care experience and dysrhythmia recognition course preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms on a telemetry unit.
• Place telemetry leads and assist with skin preparation.
• Notify RN of rhythm changes and variances.
• Maintain central monitoring station operations and troubleshoot issues.
• Document patient telemetry periods and periods off telemetry for showers, tests, and procedures.
