Position Title: REMOTE OPERATIONS AND PROCUREMENT DIRECTOR

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000

Pay Grade: 18

Job Summary

ESFM, a Compass Group company, is seeking a Remote Procurement Director and Subject Matter Expert (SME). The Procurement Director will serve as a strategic leader overseeing a team responsible for both hard services (e.g, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, building systems, technical maintenance) and soft services (e.g, cleaning, catering, security, landscaping, waste management) within the Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) category.

The Procurement Director is accountable for setting the vision, developing procurement strategies, and ensuring execution across all regions/sites. The Director will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, ensuring that procurement delivers measurable value, mitigates risk, and drives innovation while managing a high-performing team.

Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Extensive experience in managing complex procurement projects and driving strategic initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.
  • Advanced negotiation skills to lead high-stakes supplier discussions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of procurement processes, market dynamics, and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using advanced procurement software and tools.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret market data and develop strategic insights.

Key Duties

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic procurement plans for the most complex and high-stakes categories/clients.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in procurement practices.
  • Lead high-level negotiations with strategic suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships, including performance monitoring and issue resolution.
