Job summary

LawDepot is expanding and seeking an Online Notary Public to perform remote US-based notarizations. This independent contractor role supports US users with daytime weekday hours (1–6 p.m.) and weekend shifts (9 a.m.–6 p.m.).

Compensation ranges from $5.00–$8.00 for the first notarial act, $2.00–$4.00 for additional acts, and $5.00 per session as a witness. Applicants must have remote-notary experience, VA electronic notary certification, and be commissioned in Virginia.

• Remote Online Notary Public experience required.
• Virginia Electronic Notary Public certification and VA commissioning required.
• Attention to detail and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Complete notarization of customer documents remotely.
• Verify document authenticity while working remotely.
• Explain the notarization process professionally to customers.
• Review signer identity per state requirements.
• Record each notarization in a digital notary journal.
• Serve as witness for other notaries' sessions when available.
