Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse – Remote EMR Data Abstraction Specialist. This fully remote role focuses on accurate abstraction of oncology data from EMRs into an electronic data capture tool, supporting clinical, research, or pharma initiatives while upholding HIPAA standards.

Work hours align with Central Standard Time. You will leverage EHR systems, MS Office, and Teams to ensure data quality, collaborate with team members, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Oncology RN experience with clinical exposure.
• Experience in electronic medical chart data abstraction.
• Proficient in navigating EHR databases and data extraction.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy in data entry and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Accurately conduct EMR abstraction for oncology data.
• Review and abstract clinical information into data capture tool with precision.
• Ensure data meets quality standards and project requirements.
• Complete quality and accuracy testing within timelines.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Navigate EHR databases to locate required data elements.
• Collaborate with team to support project goals.
• Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders.
• Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Utilize Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams for documentation and reporting.
