Job summary

You will review orders for medical necessity, communicate with payers, and track authorization status to prevent delays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of experience in healthcare prior authorizations, medical billing, or revenue cycle operations.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
• Experience with EHR and practice management systems.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain prior authorizations for oncology treatments, procedures, and diagnostics.
• Review orders and treatment plans for medical necessity before submission.
• Communicate with insurers and payers to secure approvals and document details.
• Track status and follow up to prevent delays in patient care.
• Submit appeals and provide documentation for denied services when appropriate.
