Remote On Call Physician Assistant-Certified PRN

We are looking for an experienced Certified Nurse Practitioner to join our Utah team, to diagnose and treat health conditions, as well as promote good health practices, in a post acute, skilled nursing facility. As a non-physician provider, you are the go-to person for ensuring the best patient care and medical guidance is achieved. The job description includes conducting physical examinations, interpreting lab tests and overseeing patients’ health. You are both a health practitioner and an educator, supporting disease prevention practices and helping people lead healthy lives. You should have experience in one of the following specialties: acute care, family health or geriatrics. Extensive clinical experience in primary care is vital. As a provider, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals, so you should have a team spirit and a positive attitude. Patience, problem-solving, and good communication skills are important. The ideal candidate will be licensed in UT and willing to obtain licensure in OR & WA.

Schedule for this role will be on weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Examine patients and their medical records
• Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.)
• Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
• Prescribe medications
• Maintain accurate records and schedules
• Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
• Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics and prevention
• Oversee patients’ overall health

Skills:

• Proven experience as a non-physician provider in a clinic, hospital, skilled nursing, ER or other setting

Requirements:

• Valid PA-C state license in the license/certification UT, WA, and OR area
