Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an Observability Engineer to design and operate the metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting platforms that give engineering teams confidence in the systems they run. You will own the full observability stack, from collectors to dashboards, with a focus on usability and ROI.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience at scale with Prometheus, Grafana, and a major observability platform (Datadog/New Relic/Splunk).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years in SRE, platform engineering, or observability roles.
• Hands-on with Prometheus, Grafana and at least one major observability platform (Datadog/New Relic/Splunk).
• Strong OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing and structured logging knowledge.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience with high-cardinality, high-throughput metrics and log pipelines.
• Understanding of SLOs and error budgets; strong CI/CD and incident management experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting platforms for engineering teams.
• Manage the full observability stack from collection to dashboards and alerting workflows.
• Translate noisy telemetry into actionable insights for engineers and business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with teams to balance open-source and SaaS approaches and optimize operational ROI.
