Qualifications

• Expertise in ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding for office, hospital and surgical procedures.
• Ability to review medical records and assign correct codes per guidelines.
• Knowledge of denial management and coding compliance programs.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze specialty coding and billing for charge processing.
• Code office, hospital, and surgical/procedures for reimbursement.
• Ensure accurate and compliant coding for inpatient/outpatient services and tests.
• Identify coding trends and irregularities and communicate actions to supervisor.
• Educate providers to maximize coding compliance and reimbursement.
• Analyze monthly coding change reports and provider changes.
• Attend specialty provider meetings and prepare materials.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
